Took this hook out on the trail with my two dogs, and that 5,000lb proof load rating gives me serious peace of mind. The yellow zinc finish feels tough and the steel is noticeably hefty at 1.8lbs, but it handles the spreader bar with zero flex. Exactly what I needed for a solid, worry-free connectio
The 10-inch length gives plenty of room to clip through a spreader bar without fuss, and the yellow zinc finish has held up fine after a month of heavy use. I do wish it came with a small keeper ring to stop the snap from sliding around, but the 5000lb proof load is reassuring for the price.
